On Wednesday 4 October 2017, a morning of exchanges on the theme of the Legal Tech market was held at the premises of NextDoor. This event, organised by SNCF Développement and Seraphin.legal, follows the release of the first edition of the collective work Génération French Tech, which dedicates the 12th family of French Tech: Legal Tech, the sector of technologies applied to law. This event was an opportunity to present the data and trends of this rapidly developing market and to allow a selection of legal tech statups to present their projects.

After a welcome breakfast, the morning opened with a general presentation of the legal tech market in France. On this occasion, Cyril Garnier (CEO of SNCF Développement) underlined the exponential development of the legal tech market, the market that has grown the most within the French Tech!

The exchanges continued with a round table on the ecosystem and the transversal effects of Legal Tech. Representatives from Legalstart, CapCollectif, Deepblock and OneCub spoke.

These interventions show a common will to develop the use of online legal services and to convince both entrepreneurs and legal professionals.

The representatives of CRadar and Early Metrics then presented their analysis of the Legal Tech market based on their data. It is worth noting that Legal Tech can be presented as a response to new legal issues: data protection, need for interoperability, process automation, compliance... The need to innovate in the legal world is now a reality.

The morning ended with a series of pitches: Algonomia, CmaccTransact, Dooxi, Jarvis Legal, OFRE, SoftLaw, and Seraphin Studio presented their projects and for some, took the opportunity to call on the investors present in the room. The morning was the occasion to launch the new version of the Legal Innovation Paris website.

The French Legal Tech market is booming!

Legal Tech Project Manager, Alice coordinates the work of the legal teams and the developers. Upstream, she carries out the conceptualization ("mock-ups") of the online legal platforms developed by Seraphin.
