Reminder of the objectives of the hackaTAL :
The strategy of filing patents by companies or individuals represents a considerable challenge. However, this legal tool remains difficult to access for small companies or individuals. In particular, it is not easy to determine which technologies are likely to be patented, from the point of view of monitoring or preserving intellectual property.
The proposed task aims at better modelling the mechanisms that predict the emergence of patents for emerging technologies, using AI and NLP methods (terminology and multi-word expressions, patent categorisation, term evolution and n-grams, trend prediction).
