Five students, four lawyers, three PhD students, two in-house lawyers, a notary and a bailiff walk into a café... No, this is not a joke! They are simply the participants of the second class of the Legal Tech Academy taking their break between two workshops of an intense training that will make them Legal Tech Lawyers.
More interested in automated contracts and text mining? The most geeky among them have chosen the "Lawyer Coder" option, which familiarises them with the CmaccJS computer language and artificial intelligence technologies applied to contract analysis.
Rather towards predictive justice and online dispute resolution? It was also a good programme for the more conceptual participants who chose the "Digital Lawyer" option: they were trained to analyse decisions using artificial intelligence and took on the role of digital clerk.
And of course, all opportunities are good to meet between academics, on all floors of the Legal Innovation Paris building, to discuss, debate, exchange good words and contacts and especially to look forward to all the projects that await them and will be as many opportunities to work together again.
The Seraphins are not to be outdone: the Academy is an opportunity for them to present the subjects they work on every day, from legal chatbots to digital project mock-ups, via the inevitable RGPD. They are also experts when it comes to sharing the best sandwiches in the neighbourhood with future Legal Tech Lawyers.
So there's a lot of energy coming out of the Academy every day... And what comes next is no less promising! Stay tuned, a big announcement is about to be revealed.
